Over 1,700 Idaho loggers have taken the 3-day University of Idaho Extension program on forest ecology, silviculture, and water quality titled Logger Education to Advance Professionalism or “LEAP”. Flyers for 2020 LEAP sessions (April 21-23 in Moscow or April 28-30 in Coeur d'Alene) are available at your local UI Extension office or at the Forestry Calendar of Events.

LEAP Update is an annual opportunity for loggers to build on LEAP with in-depth training on forestry topics identified each year by loggers and meet Idaho Pro-Logger BMP training requirements. For more information on the Idaho Pro-Logger program and credit requirements, contact the Associated Logging Contractors of Idaho (ALC) at (208) 667-6473.

The program is also eligible for Society of American Foresters CFE credits - for information, contact Chris Schnepf at (208) 446-1680.

Check-in for each of these sessions will open at 7:15am. The program will begin at 8:00am and end at 3:30pm, with morning and afternoon breaks, and a catered lunch (sponsored by Associated Logging Contractors of Idaho).
