Joint-listed with PSYC 470 Understanding how individuals develop an addiction to psychoactive chemicals and how they recover from such an addiction; recognition, assessment, and treatment of various chemical addictions and how to do interventions for addicted individuals and their families; topics include drugs of abuse, symptoms and warning signs of chemical addiction, assessment, codependency, interventions, treatment, and recovery. Additional projects/assignments required for graduate credit. Prereq: PSYC 101 10 graded assignments, 3 graded exams; May submit up to two assignments per week. Before taking exams, students must wait for grades and feedback on assignments, which may take up to three weeks after the date of receipt by the instructor. Credits earned for this course are included in a University of Idaho transcrip. Transaction options include EITHER 1) Registration (registering for a new course): $200 per credit and $30 non-refundable administrative fee per course.
