This course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of substance abuse screening and assessment. This includes information related to interviewing techniques, substance abuse diagnosis, testing instruments, client placement, and issues or problems that influence the assessment environment. Additional projects/assignments required for graduate credit.
Prereq for 482: PSYC 101 and PSYC 478.

15 graded assignments, 1 proctored midterm exam, 1 comprehensive take home exam;
May submit up to three assignments at a time, six per week. Before taking exams, students must wait for grades and feedback on assignments, which may take up to three weeks after the date of receipt by the instructor.


Credits earned for this course are included in a University of Idaho transcript.
