The UI ASTP/ASTRP participants included six Japanese Americans, several Chinese Americans, and one Filipino American, whose hometowns were Los Angeles, Manzanar, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, and San Mateo, CA; Boston, MA; Vale, OR; and Garland, Provo, and Topaz, UT. Manzanar and Topaz were, of course, both War Relocation Authority concentration camps.
