Balanced Meals: Cooking Camp for Middle Schoolers -  July 7-9, 2026

This 3-day cooking camp is centered around how to plan and prepare balanced meals. We will focus on teaching why balanced meals are important, barriers to balanced meals and how to overcome these barriers to middle school aged adolescents (ages 11-13). All food and equipment are provided. Each day recipes and techniques will be taught. Campers will get hands-on experience cooking for themselves and enjoying foods prepared! The camp is taught in the Carmelita Spencer Foods Laboratory (Niccolls 101) on the University of Idaho Camps and meets from 1:00-4:00pm on July 7, 8, and 9.
