Wyoming big sagebrush is a native shrub to Idaho and the western United States. With its rich, sage aroma, silvery-green three-lobed leaves, and candlelike flowers, this shrub thrives on hot and dry sites. Great for xeriscaping it can be a statement piece in an Idaho native landscaping arrangement. Big sage provided critical habitat for sage grouse and other sage-brush obligates in its native range, which is shrinking due to invasive annual grasses, wildfire and conifer encroachment.
