A favorite for trail hikers, thimbleberry is found throughout the west and northern latitudes. Typically growing in cool, moist shady locations. This native is great for pollinators and have no thorns, making it great for picking and snacking! Small white flowers form in early summer before giving way to bright red fruits which are like a raspberry, though smaller in size and with a fuzzy texture.
