Mongolia spruce is native to Mongolia and northern China and is relatively unknown to the US. Growing up to 70 feet tall and 30-50 feet wide, this grand spruce boasts a moderate growth rate. Once mature the branches develop into pendulous growth giving an airy, pyramidal form. Its dense crown is great for wildlife habitat and as an ornamental tree. Thanks to its native range it is well adapted to dry, windy mountain conditions and cold winters.
